Unlike the other two types (EVA base and polyolefin base), the PUR based hot melt adhesives (reactive polyurethanes) are distinguished by a double adhesion mechanism: after the Initial cooling, which guarantees an initial physical cohesion, the product continues to react on a chemical level thanks to the interaction with theenvironmental humidity and with that present in the glued materials, causing the rlabeling of resin molecules.

This chemical process gives PUR adhesives:

• • Excellent thermal resistance (beyond 150°C)

• • Chemical stability even in the presence of solvents

• • High resistance in humid environments or in contact with water
    

To make the most of their properties, PUR adhesives require dedicated machinery and a controlled application system.
