The UF based adhesives I am thermosetting resins, obtained from the polycondensation between urea and formaldehyde.

UF resins are divided into two main categories:
- Pure ureic: available in form liquid or in powder, require the addition of a separate hardener to activate the reaction. They are used with hot or high frequency presses.
- Self-hardening urea: only in dust, already complete with catalysts and excipients, allow for more streamlined and immediate processing.
These stickers guarantee a good heat resistance, but one limited water resistance.
