WATER-BASED POLYURETHANE

ADHESIVES

DESCRIPTION

Polyurethane dispersion adhesives are very versatile and recent, mainly used to coat shaped doors with membrane presses.

There are two categories of PU:

  • Single-component, including the hardener or the catalyst
  • Bi-component, featuring separate hardener or catalyst

Bi-component polyurethane dispersion adhesives ensure better water and heat resistance compared to the single-component thanks to the addition of isocyanic hardeners that cause partial  resins cross-linking. In the single-component PU adhesives the isocyanic group is chemically blocked then released during the process thanks to the heat of the pressing system.

The adesive is sprayed on the surface, left to dry then joined to the coating material (which needs to be postforming) and eventually pressed using heated membrane presses.

Our P.U. adhesives are easy to use, they feature excellent humidity and heat resistance and set perfectly on various materials.

APPLICATIONS

3D cabinet doors production, membrane press gluing, plastic material gluing.
